Each of the studios above has a donation box placed in their studio where students can donate their gently used dancewear at the end of the season. The Leotard Project then collects these items and gifts them to new dancers who are eager to give them a new life.
Partnership with LEAP
We have partnered with Leadership, Education, and Athletics in Partnership, Inc. (LEAP) in New Haven, Connecticut, to supply them with dancewear and equipment for their summer dance camps.
From LEAP:
"The generous contribution from The Leotard Project has enabled more children from low income neighborhoods in New Haven to have an authentic dance class experience. With funds from The Leotard Project, our dancers have proper clothing for their dance classes and additional equipment to make their classes more comprehensive. LEAP (Leadership, Education, and Athletics in Partnership, Inc.) will also have classes for more students in additional locations with the portable equipment that we were able to get through The Leotard Project. Thank you to The Leotard Project!"
